Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta Premiere Party

David and I had the opportunity to attend Brides/Brides Atlanta’s premiere party for the new show on TLC, Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta. Ummm, how exciting was that??? Most of you know that I was born and raised in the Atlanta area and that we always enjoy an excuse to drive up there. So, we got together our outfits (total torture for both of us, we are jeans & t-shirt people all the way) and worked out plans to meet up with our awesome friends Rae & Wes to ride together to the party.

First order of the evening, get some quick portraits in downtown Atlanta. Great idea, but I tell ya… it was HOT!

Cupcakes to celebrate Bridals by Lori’s 30th anniversary, they are the bridal shop when the new show is being filmed. ^

We all got to meet Monte from the show…

And one of my fave people in the industry, Suzette Wilson from Brides Atlanta…

It really was a great evening! We got to meet a lot of new people and see all of our favorite Atlanta wedding vendors. We also took a lot more photos, but mostly with our iPhones. How sad is that? LOL The event was truly wonderful to be a part of and we can’t wait to see more episodes of Say yes to the Dress Atlanta!

Caleb & Joy’s Pensacola Beach, FL Wedding

Joy is such a delightful and beautiful young woman, who really found her perfect match in Caleb. He just adores her and watching their faces light up around each other made the day even more special. They brought their close friends and family from Louisiana to Pensacola Beach for an intimate, laid back beach wedding. The weather was perfect, lovely blue skies and water to match the wedding decor… and Joy’s eyes.

Aaron & Nia’s Destin, FL Wedding

Our first meeting with Aaron and Nia gave us a glimpse into who they were and what their wedding day might have in store for us! The had us dying laughing and feeling like we had known them their whole lives. They love each other very deeply, but are carefree and laid back in each other’s presence… like a couple married 50 years. Though their wedding day started off with some pretty nasty weather, Nia held her composure and prayed it would all work out. God was listening, because the rain stopped from the beginning of their ceremony until right after we finished the last of the posed photos! Aaron and Nia just spent the rest of evening loving on each other and all of their family and friends. Such a wonderful, tight knit group of people who will be a great support throughout their marriage.

As you will notice in some of the photos below, they kind of like jumping photos. Both Nia and Aaron are volleyball players, and can get some serious air. Then at the end of the evening we were all treated to a light show of fireworks… and lightening. Awesome night!

Jon & Claire’s St. George Island Wedding

Claire and Jon traveled all the way to Florida from Germany to celebrate their wedding day with close friends and family. What a celebration it was! A causal, but elegant beach ceremony and a reception filled with good food, smiles, and lots of love. David and I feel so blessed to have been a part Jon and Claire’s special day. We wish them many years of happiness!

13 years and it gets better every day!

May the 2nd was our anniversary and here is something I posted that day….

“13 years ago today, I promised him I would spend the rest of my life with him. 13 years ago I didn’t know what I was getting into or what we would go through, but I know I wouldn’t want to journey through this life with anyone else. David truly is my best friend, lover, and partner. I love youuuuuu, David!!!”

We celebrated by getting a hotel room in Sandestin (since we were shooting a wedding out there the day before) and spent the day shopping, going to the beach, and had dinner at PF Chang’s. It was a perfect day to just enjoy each others company and reflect on how the Lord has grown our marriage.

We snapped a few photos in the hotel room. :)

I loved this colorful wedding, from the bridesmaids dress and flowers to the tables lit from underneath with changing colors at the reception. David and I also really enjoyed working with Mathew and Brittany… there is so much love and admiration between those two!

Kevin & Hilary’s Downtown Pensacola Wedding

Hilary and Kevin’s downtown Pensacola wedding was filled with a warm, fall color palette and lots of love. The ceremony was held at Old Christ Church with a quick walk across the block to an outdoor reception at The Lee House. They have a great group of friends and family who kept the party going at a reception that really had the feel of a family gathering.

Kevin and Hilary…. you rock and we wish you a lifetime of happiness together!

Layne and Ryan are awesome…. the end! Seriously, they were so much fun the first time I met them (at their e-session) that I knew the wedding day would be a blast. Layne is a beauty any day of the week, but she was full-out dazzling on her wedding day! The most delightful thing was to watch her and Ryan together, so much passion and love between them. I hope those fires burns throughout their marriage and they have many happy years together.
